Build a massive statement with our vinyl backdrop printing for exhibits, events, film festivals, trade shows, and other indoor or outdoor events. We harness sophisticated wide-format solvent production machines to create incredibly inexpensive backdrops. These vinyl beasts print full bleed on premium weatherproof material, including grommets, hems, or pole pockets. The 13oz scrim matte banner vinyl material and solvent ink will last many years outdoors.

We can produce outdoor vinyl backdrops or banners up to 150' long and 16' high. If you require a custom banner size, please contact us for a quote.

Turnaround (Business Days)

3 - 4 days.

Rush options are available. Rush turnaround is the next business day. Cut off time is 10 am. Turnaround time does not include shipping time.

Sending Art For Your Backdrops

Our upload feature can only accept files up to 20MB. Since most banner files are enormous, you may need to send them via email to art@printkeg.com or via file-sharing apps such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or other services. Please add the order number in the email subject.

Art files should be created at 300 dpi and no lower than 150 dpi. 

Digital Proofs for Backdrops

Need a digital PDF proof? No problem. Please let us know in the "Messages / Deadlines" area, and we will email one within 4 to 6 business hours. Digital proofs will usually alter turnaround by adding one extra day and cost $5 each. Turnaround begins once you approve the digital proof.

By default, we review bleed, resolution, color mode, and size for all artwork before printing. If problems arise that we cannot quickly fix ourselves, a staff artist will contact you or email a PDF proof demonstrating related concerns. Our primary goal is to ensure you are delighted with the final banners.

Finishing Options

If selected, grommets are typically placed 2 to 4 feet apart, depending on the backdrop size. If you desire specific placement of grommets, please let us know in the "messages" field. Hems and pole pockets are also optional.

Quality Vinyl

Our weatherproof vinyl banner material is ultra-thick and tailored for a hostile environment or as outdoor signage. Banners can be rolled, stored, and used for years to come.

No Templates Required

For backdrops, most customers send us art sized as the desired print dimensions. If we run into problems during production, we will contact you immediately. Designers who prefer to be extra cautious, please feel free to send art files providing 2" bleed on each size. Keep essential elements at least 2" away from each edge.

We do not currently offer hardware such as stands and frames. 

Shipping Backdrops 

Custom backdrops are rolled and shipped in long boxes. We may add bubble wrap or paper inside to prevent banner(s) from moving. Banners exceeding 10' x 10' might be folded rather than rolled.

Finishing Options For Banners

  • Grommets

    Nickel grommets, or eyelets, are secured around the edges or the corners of your banner. Grommets are popular and convenient for hanging vinyl banners.

  • Grommets and Hems

    The edges are folded over and heat welded to strengthen the sides and support your banner to maintain its shape. Hemming also prevents your vinyl poster material from fraying.

  • Pole Pockets

    Like hems, we fold the edges to form a larger pocket to place poles for standing purposes. Pole pockets can reduce creases and give a solid tensioned appearance.

Service Descriptions

  • Digital Proof

    A Printkeg artist will prepare your artwork for printing and send you a visual in PDF format via email. This usually takes place within a few business hours. The image we will email you showcases trim location and CMYK colors in a limited fashion.

  • Make Graphic Work

    This $9 option informs our staff to move forward with quick fixes and tackle any possible obstacles. Benefits may include reviewing file dimensions, tackling border issues, and reworking challenging "bleed" areas. There is one goal in mind: to ensure perfect Art Prints.

  • Edit My Design

    This option is inexpensive for hiring us to modify your image file. Our designers edit or place elements into your file, like text, images, etc. The most common use of this service is changing event dates, removing signatures, and swapping photos.

  • Create My Art

    We hire a trusted graphic designer with whom we've worked closely to help you create a new design from scratch. Most communication is via email. Most designs are finished in only a few business days.

  • Rush Turnaround

    Rush Turnaround speeds up your order time by one day. That could mean same-day printing. You need your prints urgently, so we will try to make it happen. We sometimes expedite the shipping if we cannot honor same-day printing.

  • Free Art Inspections

    A human artist reviews every single file before printing starts. If we notice any problems, a Printkeg representative will contact you via email with options how to move forward.
